USGA rules shall govern all play except as modified by local rules as shown on the score card; or local rules modified by LACWGA.
Local rule used at all LACWGA events:
Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 24-2. If a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and an immovable obstruction (sprinkler) on or within two club lengths of the putting green and with in two club lengths of the ball interferes with your line of play, you may take relief within one club length no nearer to the hole.
The player may choose to proceed under the alternative to stroke and distance (S&D) when her ball is lost or out of bounds. This option allows the player to drop in the fairway. The player must find where her ball was lost or out of bounds and create an imaginary line to the fairway, no closer to the hole. From there, the player can drop anywhere within 2 club-lengths behind the line. Penalty of two strokes. Under this option, the player will now be hitting her 4th shot. This option is not available if the ball is in a Penalty area or a provisional ball has been played (but see example below if both the original ball and the provisional ball are lost/out of bounds).
Galleries and caddies are not permitted at any LACWGA event.
In LACWGA events, “x” scores are illegal. Anyone who “picks up” is not eligible for a win. Exception: in partner events when the “x” ball does not count towards team score. If the “game of the day” involves a 9-hole score the whole 18 must be completed to be eligible to win.
